Well-being talk and bike ride from manor to manor
Our conference villa (for 8-25 people) is situated in Purnus River Valley, in the countryside near Siuntio, not far from Helsinki. The villa gives a fantastic view over the beautiful river valley, through which flows the river, creating a calm and stress-free atmosphere in harmony with the surrounding nature.
A “tyky-day” is a day to promote a healthy lifestyle to improve workplace productivity. The tyky-day programme starts with a well-being talk, where we consider the importance of daily exercise for our own health and work. Afterwards we have lunch, prepared in the Purnus River Valley kitchen. Our guiding principle is that straight-forward, clear flavours taste best. As far as possible we source our ingredients from local producers.
After lunch we'll check out an excellent form of everyday exercise, as we set off on a guided bike ride. The route goes from manor to manor - first we go to Suitia Manor. From Suitia the tour continues to St. Peter's Church and the cottage of writer Aleksis Kivi (Finland's national author), before arriving at Sjundby Manor, of which we get a guided tour. After an interesting tour we move to the adjoining old storehouse, where we'll have afternoon coffee / tea and delicious, handmade Sjundby ice cream. On the last leg of our trip we travel, over what was at one point the border, to Porkkala (a zone in Finland leased by the Soviet Union, 1944-1956).
