The Old Time Christmas Fair has a warm-hearted and tranquil atmosphere. You can enjoy the warm bonfire lit among the stalls and taste the Christmas foods on sale. You can also see old-time handicrafts and how festive meals were prepared in days gone by.
The Christmas Fair attracts more than 200 vendors and over 20,000 visitors, with stalls offering old-time products to customers of the present. You will find handicrafts, carpentry, ceramics, giftware, Christmas decorations, candles, farm produce, Christmas foods and freshly baked products, to name a few.
The Christmas programme creates the right atmosphere
During the Christmas fair a declaration of peace and goodwill at the market will be made. Visitors can enjoy many music performances and there are awards for the best stalls. The event covers a large area in the centre of Lohja, including the Lohja Museum, the Laurentius Hall and the main library.
Organizer: City of Lohja, Lohja Museum, Lohja Congregation, the handicraft association in the Lohja region and the institute Hiiden Opisto.
There is also a big Christmas Fair held in Tammisaari, read more here (in Finnish).
